I see dead things.
I'm starting with an image of one of my furry friends from the Goa Cafe (which never smells bad BTW). warning: the images that follow are quite disturbing... It's been a stinky couple of days at the villa. First, there was the gecko in the knife drawer. Then the gross smell started. Wayan asked the pest control folks to come check, but they found nothing. Wayan come over and found a gecko under the couch. Blech. But after airing the place, it still smelled BAD throughout the entire first floor. I was thinking of moving out until it could be resolved, it was so bad. But, Wayan sent in an expert and low and behold, a rat had died in our ceiling as well. Here's to cleaner air and happier thoughts!
Back in beautiful and hot, Bali
We flew back to Bali Friday and literally watched TV the rest of the weekend to unwind. A month away was A LOT! It was also HOT in Bali and Canggu felt even more crowded so it was good to hide away in our villa. Monday was the start of term 3 and it seemed like like homework was going to be very reasonable...by Wednesday, we realized that the homework situation was NOT going to be reasonable. So, Friday we up and left for Tulamben. After all, one can do homework AND scuba dive! We stayed at the Tauch Terminal who had warned us they were renovating, but the place was wonderful and the diving was lovely. A warmer surge of water has caused a brown growth to start to cover a lot of the coral, but it was still nice. Rams got another 4 dives under his belt and is getting more comfortable in the water. Diving with the amazing Rachel from Intrinity is always a treat!
