Travel Day...on steroids!
Our goal today is to traverse the island of Tasmania from West to East Coast. But before we started to drive in earnest, we stopped in Queensland to do the Pines and Mines Tour with Chris from RoamWild. We had so much fun! We Bush walked, leaned more about the Huon pines and Ramses even did some mining for copper and gold (treasures obtained.) The 4 1/2 hour cross country drive was long but uneventful. It was amazing to see all the many different landscapes of Tasmania. Some resembles Northern California, others the Central Valley, or Napa, or Santa's Christmas tree farm. Finally, we arrived in Port Arthur in time for dinner at 1830 and a ghost tour! Our 3 bedroom cabin gives us a lot of space, but still only 1 split bathroom???? How do the Tassies share so well? And why do they expect us to?
