The Gordon River and more Convicts

Australia was built by convicts and it had some home grown ones as well.  Today we took a boat tour of the Gordon River, a world heritage site.  There we disembarked to take a short hike through part of a  West Coast Tassie Rainforest, and at Sarah Island to learn about its history as a settlement island for violent convicts in the 1800's. (Rams was enchanted by the stories of cannibalism)  After a snack, we enjoyed the comedy play, 'The Ship that Never Was' about a true convict escape from Sarah Island. It was silly and the sets were amazing.  What you see in the photo, converts into a ship! It was the perfect day, and so fun to learn more history.
