We have walked by Casa Tua often on the way to the beach. We stopped in for lunch and discovered a lovely Indonesian Restaurant with rabbits. Not to eat. Just to be.
Thanks for doing the blog, guys! It's exciting to be able to track your adventures this way. All sorts of exotic sights and stories... but what's the first thing that prompts me to write a comment? It is the bunny. BUNNY!
Vietnam is in the Northern hemisphere which means as we head South, towards the equator, Hanoi was warm, Hue hot, and Hoi An very hot. We left early to see My Son Sanctuary before the real heat of the day. These temples were built earlier than Angkor Wat by the Champa people. Like Angkor, it was lost the the jungle, until it was rediscovered by the French who removes the heads from the statues, removed anything of value (including the king's body) and shipped the lot to The Louvre. Later, American B52s bombed the site. Despite all this it is a beautiful site. After lunch and a rest, we went to the Bamboo Circus. These artists were amazingly skillful and the bamboo apparatus' were inventive and unique. A good day.
So, we fell in love with a villa, and we move.in Sunday! Welcome to the Villa Raja. We certainly feel like royalty. The art and architecture is really over the top and it is much bigger than we need. We are hoping that our friends new and old help us fill it with fun! Care to visit?
